In a recent public outcry, renowned filmmaker Michael Moore has leveled serious accusations against President Joe Biden, alleging that he is being manipulated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Moore's criticism stems from the U.S. financial support to Israel, which he believes is used to fuel the ongoing conflict with the terror group Hamas.
According to Mediaite, Moore expressed his disapproval in a Substack post, stating, Biden has given Bibi $356 of my money. I want it back. Hes given $356 of your money too. The filmmaker's reference to the sum of $356 is symbolic, representing the per capita contribution of American citizens to the billions in aid and support that the U.S. provides to Israel.
In the same post, Moore urged his followers to donate to the Palestine Childrens Relief Fund as a form of reparation. He stated, "I am donating $356 to the Palestine Childrens Relief Fund," emphasizing his commitment to the cause.
Moore's criticism of Biden, particularly concerning the Israel issue, is not new. During Biden's reelection campaign, Moore was a prominent figure in a protest movement that saw over 100,000 people voting "undeclared" in the state's Democratic Party primary. This was a direct response to Biden's support of Israel following the tragic loss of thousands of civilian lives in Gaza.
Theres no getting around the awful truth: The United States is the Bank that is funding and arming the slaughter of children in Gaza. Netanyahu is a war criminal. That makes us his accomplices. THIS MUST STOP. Biden has been played like a sucker, Moore wrote, expressing his frustration and disappointment.
While Moore was critical of Biden, he defended Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that she has no power. However, he also urged her to take a stand, saying, Find some way to step out from this darkness. Be the voice of humanity. Show the world your moral courage. Your compassion. You said were not going back. Supporting the daily murder of children is not going forward.
Moore's comments reflect a growing concern among some conservatives about the U.S.'s role in the Israel-Palestine conflict. His call for donations to the Palestine Childrens Relief Fund and his plea to Vice President Harris underscore his belief in the need for a more balanced and humane approach to the crisis.
