In a recent development, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had previously suspended his presidential campaign, has thrown his support behind former President Donald Trump.
This revelation came to light during a captivating interview with Tucker Carlson, aired on Monday night. The interview, which was subsequently posted on Kennedy's X account, underscored his newfound dedication to ensuring Trump's triumph in the forthcoming election.
According to Gateway Pundit, the conversation between Carlson and Kennedy Jr. delved into the CIA's alleged role in the assassination of President Kennedy. This segment of the discussion was deemed significant enough by Kennedy Jr. to warrant a separate post on his YouTube page.
During the interview, Carlson broached the topic of the remaining classified documents related to the 1963 assassination of Kennedy's uncle. He said, "In your joint appearance on Friday, President Trump introduced you by saying that he plans to, if elected, establish a commission to declassify the remaining documents, regarding your uncles murder in 1963. I think everyone at this point knows the truth, which is the CIA is implicated in that. Those documents protect CIA, maybe among others."
Kennedy Jr. responded, "Well, whether they do or not, its odd that theyve not allowed them to be released." He further questioned the rationale behind the continued classification of these documents, more than six decades after his uncle's death. "None of the people who were implicated in that crime are alive now. The last ones have died off in the last year or two. And so, it clearly is to protect the institution. Thats wrong. Its just wrong. Its wrong for a Democrat, and its wrong for a Republican," he said.
The discussion also touched upon the fact that a bipartisan list of presidents over the past six decades have kept these files classified. Kennedy Jr. expressed his surprise that Trump didn't declassify them during his tenure, as he had promised during his campaign. He revealed that he had discussed this matter with Trump for the first time that week.
When asked about Trump's response, Kennedy Jr. said, "He said that Mike Pompeo begged him to I dont think Im telling tales out of school here. No, I think he told the same thing to you. Thats true. But he said Mike Pompeo called him and said, This would be a catastrophe to release this. You need to not do it."
Carlson, in response, expressed his view that Pompeo's actions were criminal and indicative of the CIA's involvement in the assassination. He said, "I want to say again, I think Mike Pompeo is a criminal, so thats my view. He threatened to sue me for saying that, but I hope he will because thats true. But that tells the whole story right there, right? That the CIA is- Why would the CIA be trying to keep these files classified if they had nothing to do with the murder?"
In a separate interview with The Gateway Pundits Jim Hoft in May 2023, Kennedy Jr. discussed the assassinations of his father and uncle. He accused the CIA of involvement in both assassinations and called for the federal government to release all evidence related to these events. Having studied the assassinations of his father and uncle since childhood, Kennedy Jr.'s call for transparency resonates with a deep personal significance.
