In a recent interview with MSNBC's Joy Reid, Kerry Kennedy, sister of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., expressed her vehement disagreement with her brother's decision to endorse former President Trump.

"Personally, I completely disavow and separate and disassociate myself from my brother, Bobby Kennedy, and his flagrant and inexplicable effort to desecrate and trample and set fire to daddy's memory," she declared, distancing herself from her brother's political stance.

According to Fox News, Kerry Kennedy's disapproval stems from her belief that her brother's endorsement of Trump contradicts the values their father held dear. She expressed her love and respect for her brother, acknowledging his past work, but firmly stated, "On this, he's wrong. On this, it's really important for people to understand that the Kennedy family endorses Harris."

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., after stepping back from his campaign, spoke on Sunday about his support for a "unity government" with Trump. He revealed that the former president agreed to address key issues that were central to his independent campaign, including ending the war in Ukraine, combating censorship, and improving children's health in the U.S.

Kerry Kennedy, however, believes that Trump's disregard for human rights would have been abhorrent to their father. "If my dad were alive today he would detest almost everything about Donald Trump," she asserted. She listed a litany of Trump's perceived faults, including his "lying, selfishness, racism, cynicism, hatred, fascist sympathies, deliberate misinformation about vaccines, criminal felony convictions, rape of E. Jean Carrol, his contempt for the poor and suffering, for ethics [and] for democracy."

In response to the criticism he has received from his sister and other family members, RFK Jr. acknowledged the family's deep-rooted ties to the Democratic Party. "You know, my family is at the center of the Democratic Party. I have members of my family that are working for the Biden administration. Biden has a bust of my father behind him at the Oval Office, and he's been a family friend for many years," he said.

RFK Jr. also emphasized the family's tradition of passionate debate, stating, "I feel like we were raised in a milieu where we were encouraged to debate each other and debate ferociously and passionately about things and still love each other." He added that many members of his family are actively supporting his campaign.
