Is Trump About To Walk Away From The Debate? His Scathing Attack On ABC Has Everyone Talking!

Former President Donald Trump has expressed reservations about his participation in the forthcoming ABC News debate with Vice President Kamala Harris.

His apprehension stems from what he perceives as a "biased" interview conducted by the network with Republican Sen. Tom Cotton.

According to The New York Post, Trump voiced his concerns in a post on Truth Social, a social media platform. He criticized a panel on the Sunday Edition of "This Week" and co-anchor Jon Karl's interview with the senator from Arkansas. "I watched ABC FAKE NEWS this morning, both lightweight reporter Jonathan Carls(K?) ridiculous and biased interview of Tom Cotton (who was fantastic!), and their so-called Panel of Trump Haters, and I ask, why would I do the Debate against Kamala Harris on that network?" Trump questioned.

During the contentious interview, Karl questioned Cotton about Trump's recent comments, in which he equated the Medal of Freedom to the Medal of Honor, the highest military award for bravery in combat. Cotton defended Trump, stating, "Jon, youre totally taking that out of context. Donald Trump was great for our military. He is great for our veterans."

Trump's criticism of ABC News extended beyond the interview, hinting at other issues with the network. He referenced a scandal involving ABC News contributor Donna Brazile, who allegedly leaked debate questions to Hillary Clinton's campaign during the 2016 election. Trump questioned, "Will panelist Donna Brazil give the questions to the Marxist Candidate like she did for Crooked Hillary Clinton? Will Kamalas best friend, who heads up ABC, do likewise. Where is Liddle George Slopadopolus hanging out now? Will he be involved?" His comments referred to George Stephanopoulos, the main host of "This Week."

Trump also questioned Harris' decision to have ABC News host the debate, instead of other major networks, such as Fox News, which is his preferred network. "Theyve got a lot of questions to answer!!! Why did Harris turn down Fox, NBC, CBS, and even CNN? Stay tuned!!!" he wrote.

Despite his reservations, Trump had previously agreed to the ABC News debate when President Biden was still in the race. However, his participation became uncertain when Harris replaced Biden on the presidential ticket. The debate between Trump and Harris is set to take place on September 10.
