The renowned fast-food chain Chick-fil-A, celebrated for its delectable chicken sandwiches and distinctive dipping sauce, is reportedly collaborating with entertainment industry leaders to generate, license, and acquire family-oriented content for a forthcoming streaming network, set to launch later this year.
As reported by The Post Millennial, the Christian-led restaurant has been involved in several projects, including a game show in association with Sugar23, the brains behind the Netflix teen series "13 Reasons Why," and Glassman Media, the creator of "The Wall." The objective is to generate "family-friendly" content for the upcoming streaming service, which will feature animated and scripted content. This isn't the first time the fast-food giant has dipped its toes into the entertainment sector.
The Cathy Family, the proprietors of Chick-fil-A, oversee an independently managed trust that co-founded Trilith Studios. Based in Atlanta, Trilith Studios collaborates with one of the entertainment industry's most illustrious brands: Marvel. This information comes according to The Verge.
Chick-fil-A has previously ventured into the realm of animation with a short film series titled "Stories of Evergreen Hills," available on its website. The series, as per its description, "follows a young girl named Sam as she discovered how little acts of kindness can bring people together." The company has yet to make a public announcement or comment on its latest foray into the entertainment industry. This move aligns with the company's traditional values, emphasizing the importance of family-friendly content and small acts of kindness, reflecting the conservative perspective.
