Tim Walz Accused Of Faking 'White Guy Tacos'The Recipe That Could Sink Him!

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has recently come under fire on social media platforms for allegedly being dishonest about his preference for "white guy tacos," which he described as being made up of "ground beef and cheese."

This controversy arose following the reemergence of a recipe he shared in 2022, which included diced green chilies and a bottle of taco sauce among the ingredients.

According to Newsweek, Governor Walz made the "white guy tacos" remark during a 10-minute conversation with Vice President Kamala Harris, which was subsequently posted on YouTube. The video, which has already garnered over 1 million views, featured an informal dialogue between Harris and Walz, the Democratic Party's presidential and vice presidential nominees, respectively. The conversation spanned a variety of topics, including politics, music, and food.

On a social media platform, Walz posted a brief promotional clip from the discussion, which has since attracted over 4 million views and thousands of comments. Several social media users pointed out that in a post from January 2022, Walz had shared his recipe for Turkey Taco Tot Hotdish, a dish that had won the Minnesota congressional delegation's 2016 hotdish competition. One user questioned, "Why did Walz lie about eating 'white guy tacos'? Just two years ago he was talking about his award-winning taco recipe. Loaded with seasoning!"

Earlier this month, Harris named Walz as her running mate for the 2024 election, sparking increased interest in the governor's political stance and personal character. Since being named the presumptive candidate for her party, Harris has polled strongly against Republican contender Donald Trump, with a recent Emerson College survey giving her a 4-point lead.

In the video clip, Walz states, "I have white guy tacos," to which Harris asks, "What does that mean? Like, mayonnaise and tuna? What are you doing?" Walz responds, "Pretty much ground beef and cheese." When asked by the Vice President if he adds any flavor to it, the governor replies no, prompting laughter from Harris. Walz then adds, "No, they said to be careful and let her know that black pepper is the top of the spice level in Minnesota, you know." Harris responds, "I'm the first vice president, I believe, who has ever grown chili peppers."

In his 2022 post, Walz shared a photo of his 2016 "Hotdish Off" award, stating, "I don't know, people... I make a pretty mean hotdish. Check out my award-winning recipe for Turkey Taco Tot Hotdish here." The post included a link to a 2016 article published in Minnesota, which detailed Walz's winning recipe. The ingredients listed included "1 can diced mild green chilies," "1 bottle taco sauce (medium)" and "chili powder."

Several social media users expressed their disappointment and embarrassment over the governor's alleged dishonesty. One user commented, "Tim Waltz is a d**n liar. If I were still a Minnesotan I'd be absolutely embarrassed." Another added, "Hmm so Tim is lying he isn't just another 'mayonnaise wypipo DoN't LiKe SpIcEs' racist trope. (btw who in the hell puts tots in their tacos? That alone should get him permanently uninvited.)"
