In a recent press conference held in Bedminster, New Jersey, former President Donald Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her unfulfilled promises.
Trump questioned Harris's commitment to her pledges, particularly those she vowed to accomplish on her first day in office, despite her having held the vice-presidential position for over three years.
According to The Post Millennial, Trump responded to a reporter's query about his plans to turn the country around, by focusing on Harris's unfulfilled promises. "Kamala has been promising, On day one, I'll do this.' And for basically four years, she's promised 'this' day one," the reporter asked. Trump retorted, "So, she is saying, When she gets in. She's in now. And especially with Biden, because, I mean, he's not in the best of shape. But you know what, she is in there now. She can do anything she wants. And she's still saying, 'If you elect me, I'll do this.'"
Trump's critique of Harris extended to her lack of action during her tenure. He challenged her, asking, "Why didn't she do it? Here's my one question to her, it's the easiest question .... Why didn't she do it?" He further highlighted the contrast between his openness with the press and Harris's avoidance of long-form interviews, despite being the nominee for 25 days.
Harris's recent campaign promises include toughening border control and fostering an economy that provides opportunities for all Americans. These pledges were made at various rallies, including one in Las Vegas. However, Trump pointed out that despite being tasked by President Joe Biden to address the border issue and the root causes of migration in March 2021, Harris has only met once with the Guatemalan president.
Trump also drew attention to the economic concerns under the Biden-Harris administration. He cited numerous figures indicating a struggling economy, including record credit card debt. "Here is the record of economic calamity that Kamala is desperate for voters to ignore. She cast a tie breaking votes that caused record inflation," Trump stated, adding that the average American household is now paying $1,100 extra per month for expenses.
