In a significant move, Kamala Harris has made her first major decision as Vice President, selecting a running mate who is considered one of the most radical governors in the United States.
The chosen candidate is none other than Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a figure known for his controversial actions and statements.
According to Gateway Pundit, in the aftermath of an attempted assassination on President Trump, Walz not only failed to condemn the violence but also intensified the rhetoric, branding Trump's supporters as "fascists." His approach to the COVID-19 pandemic has also raised eyebrows. Despite the low risk of infection in children and the uncertain long-term health effects of the vaccine, Walz attempted to incentivize parents to have their children aged 5-11 vaccinated with the experimental COVID vaccines.
The Minnesota governor's handling of the George Floyd riots was equally contentious. He controversially attributed the destructive and violent protests to "white supremacists." Meanwhile, as Minneapolis was engulfed in chaos, his daughter was reportedly sharing information with violent looters and rioters about the National Guard's movements.
Walz's radical policies extend to the realm of gender and sexuality. In March 2023, he issued an executive order making Minnesota a haven for children seeking gender-affirming care, a move that critics have labeled as promoting "trans mutilation" on children. Furthermore, Minnesota has proposed a bill requiring the provision of menstruation products in all boys' school restrooms across the state.
Walz's stance on abortion has also been a point of contention. As of August 1, 2023, a revised version of Minnesota's abortion reporting law conceals the fate of infants who survive abortions. The law no longer mandates abortionists to report live births resulting from abortions or the measures taken to care for such infants.
Walz's radicalism is not limited to his policies; it extends to his circle of acquaintances. The Trump campaign has released a hard-hitting advertisement targeting Walz, further highlighting the controversy surrounding his selection as Harris's running mate.
