Mike Pompeo Accuses Harris Of Empowering Terrorists With Diplomatic Stance

Mike Pompeo, the former Secretary of State, has publicly rebuked Vice President Kamala Harris for her remarks concerning the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict, accusing her of exacerbating the situation.

According to The Post Millennial, Pompeo, in a recent interview with Fox News, underscored the necessity of maintaining strength as a deterrent and lambasted Harris for advocating an excessively diplomatic approach that fails to recognize the power required to reestablish legitimacy. He asserted, "The kind of things that Vice President Harris is saying are fueling the continued war and the continued risk."

Pompeo staunchly defended Israel's recent decision to eliminate top Hamas officials, drawing parallels with the US's assassination of Qasem Soleimani. He further spotlighted Iran's direct affiliation with terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Hezbollah. The former Secretary of State also expressed his disapproval of the persistent calls for a ceasefire while Iran-backed terrorist factions continue to gain strength.

Pompeo voiced his concern over the Biden administration's ceasefire rhetoric, stating, "Whenever I hear President Biden or Vice President Harris talk about a cease-fire, what they are really saying is theyre going to allow the horrors of Oct. 7 to happen again." He continued, "They want Israelis to stand down while Hamas is still powerful and armed and while Hezbollah still has thousands of missiles in Lebanon."

Pompeo further warned of the potential consequences of a ceasefire, declaring, "When we demand there be a cease-fire, the bad guys, the terrorists, they will continue their efforts. They will be rewarded for what they did."

Last month, Harris met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to Washington DC. However, she chose not to attend his address to Congress, instead opting to engage with a sorority sisters' meeting. Following her meeting with Netanyahu, Harris called for a ceasefire, stating, "It is time for this war to end in a way where Israel is secure, all the hostages are released, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza ends, and the Palestinian people can exercise their right to freedom, dignity, and self-determination.

Harris further urged, "And as I just told Prime Minister Netanyahu it is time to get this deal done. Let's get the deal done. So we can get a ceasefire to end the war. Let's bring the hostages home. And let's provide much-needed relief to the Palestinian people." Despite these calls, Hamas has consistently rejected any proposals to cease hostilities.

Harris' comments reportedly took Netanyahu and his team by surprise, with her public statement being more critical than what she had conveyed to Netanyahu during their meeting. Israeli officials were reportedly frustrated with Harris' ceasefire remarks, as Israel maintains its position that combat will persist until a satisfactory agreement is reached. This incident further underscores the complexity of the Israel-Palestine conflict and the delicate balance required in diplomatic communications.
