Trumps BOLD Statements On Israel And Democratic Leaders Stir Reactions At New Jersey Event

At a private fundraising event on the Jersey Shore this past Sunday, former President Donald Trump addressed a crowd of predominantly observant Jews, making the bold assertion that "The Democrats hate Israel."

This statement comes on the heels of Trump's recent meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to The Post Millennial, Trump addressed the pro-Israel audience in Deal, New Jersey, stating, "The Democrats hate Israel. The Democrats largely hate the Jewish people. It's time for the Jewish people to step up and vote for the Republicans and for Donald Trump, and we're gonna save Israel. His words were met with enthusiastic applause from the attendees.

The former President didn't stop at criticizing the Democrats' stance on Israel. He also took aim at Vice President Kamala Harris, stating, Let me give you the bad news. She hates Israel, a comment that was met with disapproval from the Republican and Israel-supporting crowd.

Trump's critique extended to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), whom he accused of having become a Palestinian." Schumer, who is Jewish, has faced backlash from the Jewish community for his calls for Israelis to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump questioned the crowd, How about Schumer? His question was met with further jeers. He continued, I gave him his first political contribution many years ago in my Brooklyn office. He was from Brooklyn and he was running for the assembly. Trump then added, I was the first person, he used to brag about it I gave him a 500 contribution checkthat was a big contribution at the time. That was like a lot of money ... He's become a Palestinian! What happened to this guy?"

The shift in political allegiance among Jewish Democrats has been notable since the massacre of over 1,200 Israelis on October 7, 2023. Many have migrated to the Republican party as left-leaning progressives have shown support for Palestinians and anti-Israel activists on college campuses.
