In a recent televised debate on Fox News, a heated exchange unfolded between Fox contributor Ben Domenech and Democratic strategist Laura Fink, centered around Vice President Kamala Harris' stance on Israel.

The discussion, which took place on the show "MediaBuzz," was sparked by Harris' decision to forgo Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to Congress, opting instead for a private meeting.

According to the Daily Caller, Fink defended Harris' choice, stating, "But with respect to Netanyahu, you know, she chose to miss the speech, she chose to meet with him personally and to lead the messaging from the White House on these issues. It shows shes got an embrace of the facts, shes taken " However, Domenech interjected with a skeptical, "An embrace of the facts?"

Fink, undeterred, continued to argue that Harris is "connected with voters" on the contentious issue of Palestine. She said, "Ill just finish, Ben. Just one statement. She has a command of the facts and shes connected with voters on the Palestinian issue and working to get humanitarian aid and "

Domenech, however, was quick to counter, referencing a pro-Palestine protest that took place during Netanyahu's visit to the capital. He retorted, "Yeah, shes connected with those voters burning the American flag in front of Union Station. Im sorry thats just gross, thats absurd, thats ridiculous." He then questioned Fink's assertion, asking, "She did that because she wanted to embrace the people that are burning the American flag?"

The debate escalated further when Fox host Howard Kurtz attempted to intervene, only for Domenech to dismiss Harris' subsequent statement as a "garbage statement."

In the aftermath of Netanyahu's address to Congress, the Israeli Prime Minister held separate meetings with President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris to discuss the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. Following a protest outside Union Station, Harris issued a statement condemning "any individuals" associated "with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas" and the burning of the American flag.

In her statement, Harris wrote, "I condemn the burning of the American flag. That flag is a symbol of our highest ideals as a nation and represents the promise of America. It should never be desecrated in that way. I support the right to peacefully protest, but lets be clear: Antisemitism, hate and violence of any kind have no place in our nation."

This incident underscores the deep divisions and heated debates that continue to surround the issue of Israel and Palestine, particularly within the context of American politics. It also highlights the challenges faced by Vice President Harris as she navigates these complex and contentious issues.
