In a spirited move to safeguard the sanctity of the electoral process, the Republican National Committee (RNC) spearheaded a "Protect the Vote" event in Tampa Bay on Thursday.
The event, which saw the participation of hundreds of voters, was aimed at bolstering the GOP's campaign to ensure a transparent and fair presidential election. The initiative was championed by RNC co-chair Lara Trump and chairman Michael Whatley.
As reported by The Post Millennial, the event served as a platform for volunteers and legal experts to receive training on becoming poll watchers and poll workers. This forms a crucial part of the RNC's nationwide election integrity initiative, which seeks to galvanize and recruit voters who are keen on preventing a recurrence of the 2020 presidential election. The event was graced by several notable figures, including Lara Trump, Michael Whatley, former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Congressman Cory Mills (R-FL), and Florida GOP chairman Evan Power.
Addressing the Florida volunteers, the RNC unveiled its ambitious strategy to recruit 100,000 volunteers across the nation. The committee's message was clear and uncompromising: "If you cheat in the election we will come for you."
Lara Trump, underscoring the significance of the RNC's "aggressive comprehensive election integrity operation," declared, "If you are a person who is going to cheat in an election, we will find you, we will track you down and we will prosecute you to the full extent of the law." She further emphasized the need to avoid a repeat of the 2020 election, stating, "We can never repeat 2020 and that election ever again."
She went on to assure that the RNC would work tirelessly to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election. "That is why we are here today, and that is why everyone in this room is so vitally important," said Lara Trump, highlighting the importance of voter turnout and voter registration, which are among the RNC's top priorities.
The "Protect the Vote Tour" was launched by the RNC in Michigan on June 14, with subsequent stops in key battleground states such as Georgia, North Carolina, and Nevada before making its way to Florida.
One volunteer poll worker, who chose to remain anonymous, expressed his renewed faith in the GOP under its new leadership. "I love what they are doing and I'm thrilled to be involved," he said. "It's very important to protect the vote. Trump is the only one who can lead our country and it's imperative we the people get him elected. No more cheating. It's all hands on deck."
Michael Whatley, the Trump-endorsed chairman of the RNC, rallied the crowd to support former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee. He underscored the critical nature of this election cycle, which he believes could impact future generations and the entire world. To ensure a Trump victory, Whatley stated that "every dollar we raise is going to be spent on two things: We're going to get out the vote and we're going to protect the ballot."
Whatley dismissed allegations of election denialism and conspiracy theories, asserting, "These are basic protections that we want to safeguard our elections and they're supported by 75 to 80 percent of all voters, whether they're Republican, Democrat, or Independent."
The RNC has already initiated over 60 election-based lawsuits in various states, including California, Michigan, and Vermont, and is preparing to file more. "If you cheat, you are going to get prosecuted," Whatley reiterated, echoing the sentiments of his co-chair Lara Trump.
The RNC remains steadfast in its commitment to challenge policies it perceives as threats to election integrity nationwide. It has accused Democrats of endorsing "election systems that are open to fraud" and encouraging "non-citizens to vote."
