What To Expect: Biden To Address Nation TONIGHT After Dropping Out Of 2024 Race

Former President Joe Biden has declared his intention to make his first public appearance since his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.

The announcement came on Tuesday, with Biden scheduling his address to the nation for 8pm EST on Wednesday.

According to The Post Millennial, Biden has been in self-isolation at his Rehoboth, Delaware residence following a Covid diagnosis last week. Despite the reassurances from presidential physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor that Biden's symptoms have "almost resolved completely," and that all his vitals are "absolutely normal," the former president has remained largely out of the public eye. His only interaction was a remote call to Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign event on Monday.

In a post on social media, Biden stated, Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office," and went on to explain that he will discuss "what lies ahead, and how [he] will finish the job for the American people."

During his remote participation in Harris' campaign event, Biden acknowledged that his Covid-19 diagnosis would keep him "out of people's hair for the next three or four days." However, he assured his audience that he was "not going anywhere," and would be "out on the campaign with [Harris] working like hell."

"I won't be on the ticket, but I'm still gonna be fully, fully engaged," Biden emphasized. "I've still got six months left in my presidency, and I'm determined to get as much done as I possibly can, both foreign policy and domestic policy."

As the nation awaits Biden's address, it remains to be seen how his withdrawal from the presidential race and his recent health scare will impact his remaining tenure and the future of American politics.
