Elon Musk Responds To WORST IT Outage EVER...

Elon Musk, the billionaire tech mogul, has publicly criticized Microsoft's global IT outage, dubbing it the "Biggest IT fail ever.

".

Musk, who acquired the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, in 2022, expressed his views in response to a post on the platform.

According to Newsweek, the worldwide IT outage of Microsoft systems on Friday wreaked havoc on numerous businesses and services, particularly affecting the banking, airline, and media sectors. This disruption has resulted in widespread turmoil globally.

Musk further expressed his disdain by posting the word "Microsoft," followed by an angry emoji. He also reposted one of his own tweets from 2021, which read "Macrohard > Microsoft," accompanied by an ellipsis.

The term "Macrohard" has been used by Musk in the past to satirize Microsoft. Musk popularized the term in a 2021 post, comparing Microsoft to a fictitious company named "Macrohard." This comparison suggested that Microsoft was underperforming, particularly during a significant global outage that impacted many of Microsoft's cloud services and applications.

The term "Macrohard" is also interpreted as a humorous antithesis to "Microsoft." Here, "macro" (large) and "hard" are contrasted with "micro" (small) and "soft," indicating a tongue-in-cheek critique of the tech behemoth.

Musk continued to comment on the Microsoft crisis on X. He responded to a meme that depicted arms linking, one labeled as Microsoft and the other as The Secret Service. The meme, captioned "not being secure," implied that Microsoft and The Secret Service share a common bond of insecurity. Musk responded to this with a laughing face emoji.

This meme refers to the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump on July 13. Musk, a vocal supporter of Trump, reportedly donates $45 million a month to the Trump campaign effort.

Musk also reacted to a widely shared post on X, a video that seemingly shows an empty CrowdStrike office. The video, referencing remote working, suggests that CrowdStrike staff work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, leading people to infer that the CrowdStrike office is vacant amidst the Microsoft crisis. Musk responded to this video with an emoji depicting a hand covering a face, typically used to express embarrassment.

Furthermore, Musk responded to a post discussing Microsoft's role in the U.S. elections. Independent journalist and Fox News producer Kyle Becker posted, "Don't forget: Microsoft is a key player in securing America's elections." The post included information about the outage and the Microsoft software, Election Guard, described as "An open source software development kit (SDK) that improves confidence and participation in elections," according to its website.

Becker added, "Microsoft's Election Guard partners with major players in the U.S. voting space to help 'secure' our elections." He then questioned, "Microsoft just experienced a massive outage that led to hundreds of grounded flights. That's reassuring. Is this just natural chaos? Or a sneak preview of the 2024 election?" Musk responded to this with a simple "!!"
