CBS Forced To Retract Video: Did They Just Get Caught Covering Up A Biden's Blunder?

In a recent incident that has raised eyebrows, CBS News was compelled to withdraw a video from a popular social media platform, after it was criticized for being a "cheap fake" that depicted President Joe Biden seemingly lost during the G7 Summit in Italy last week.

This incident, as reported by Gateway Pundit, has sparked a debate about the authenticity of such videos and their potential to mislead the public.

The White House has pointed fingers at Republicans, accusing them of manufacturing such low-quality, deceptive videos of Biden, taken out of context, to reinforce the narrative that he is suffering from cognitive issues. CBS News' Chief White House Correspondent, Nancy Cordes, echoed this sentiment, suggesting that the G7 footage of Biden and other world leaders observing a skydiving demonstration was manipulated in a similar manner. "Outlets claimed that he was sort of just aimlessly wandering away. The clip amassed millions of views , when actually if you widen out, you can see that he was talking to one of the members of the military that was participating in that demonstration," Cordes stated.

However, the controversy arose when the "digitally altered video" CBS aired alongside the original was found to be identical. In both versions, Biden is seen attempting to converse with a paratrooper. Yet, it is undeniable that Biden did stray from the group, while the other G7 leaders remained together. Subsequently, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had to guide Biden back to the group.

CBS News admitted its error in the video comparison in a subsequent post on the same platform, stating that it had withdrawn the previous version. "An earlier post was removed as it included the wrong version of a video. This version has been updated to include the correct clip and label on the edited video," the news outlet clarified. However, in the updated video shared by CBS, the paratrooper is blurred, and instead of being labeled as "digitally altered," CBS referred to it as an "edited clip." This raises questions about who was responsible for the editing.

Another instance of what the White House termed a cheap-fake video was when Biden seemed to freeze on stage at a Los Angeles fundraiser. Former President Barack Obama had to intervene and guide him off the stage. Fox News Chief Political Anchor Bret Baier noted, "There was nothing fake about former President Obama reaching over to President Bidens wrist and kind of tugging him to go." Baier further observed that the same was true when Meloni guided Biden back to the group of world leaders.
