Chrissy Teigen, a well-known model and social media personality, recently voiced her concerns about the potential return of former President Donald Trump to the White House, expressing fears that he might target her due to her past criticisms.
Teigen's apprehensions were revealed during a live recording of the podcast 'On with Kara Swisher.' She recalled a 2019 incident where she used derogatory language to refer to Trump on social media. This incident occurred in the context of a discussion about Trump's achievements in criminal justice reform.
In 2019, Trump took to Twitter to highlight his accomplishments in this area. He wrote, "When all of the people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform were unable to come even close to getting it done, they came to me as a group and asked for my help. I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it." He further added, "Obama couldnt come close. A man named @VanJones68, and many others, were profusely grateful (at that time!). I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did, & Republicans deserve much credit."
In the same thread, Trump criticized those who were now praising the reform but had not contributed to its passage. He specifically mentioned musician John Legend, referring to him as a "boring musician," and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, whom he described as having a "filthy mouth." He also criticized media coverage of the reform, stating that they only talked about "minor players" and ignored the role of Republicans in its passage.
Teigen, in response to Trump's tweet, expressed her displeasure at not being mentioned by name. She wrote, "lol what a pussy ass bitch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president."
Teigen also launched a profanity-laden tirade against then First Lady Melania Trump, criticizing her for not doing enough during the pandemic and referring to her derogatorily as a "wifebot."
Now, with rumors of Trump's potential return to politics, Teigen has admitted to feeling uneasy due to his awareness of her. She expressed fears about the possibility of him targeting her in some way, describing it as a "weird feeling."
According to Deadline, Teigen said, "Its also kind of scary, because its, Oh, hes aware of me. What could really happen because of that? We obviously know hes unhinged but could he actually come after you in other ways? Its a weird feeling."
Teigen's husband, John Legend, also expressed concerns about Trump targeting them, stating that it was one of the reasons people needed to ensure Trump "didnt come within a mile of the White House again."
Despite these fears, the couple has vowed to remain politically active in the upcoming election cycle. Legend stated, "Were going to be active. Were going to the White House on the way home from here and were going to support President Biden."
