Food For Thought? Elon Musk Drops 'X' Bombshell On Voters

Elon Musk, the renowned tech mogul, has recently voiced his concerns over the use of electronic voting machines, citing the potential for manipulation or hacking.

According to The Post Millennial, Musk's comments were sparked by an Associated Press report that shed light on several voting irregularities in Puerto Rico's primary elections, which were linked to electronic voting machines provided by Dominion Voting Systems, a U.S. company.

"We should eliminate electronic voting machines. The risk of being hacked by humans or AI, while small, is still too high," Musk stated, responding to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s post about the article. The AP report disclosed that Puerto Rico's elections commission is currently reassessing its contract with Dominion after discovering that the machines were inaccurately calculating vote totals.

The machines were found to be reporting lower vote counts than the actual paper ballots, reversing certain totals, and even reporting zero votes for some candidates. "The concern is that we obviously have elections in November, and we must provide the (island) not only with the assurance that the machine produces a correct result, but also that the result it produces is the same one that is reported," expressed Jessika Padilla, the interim President of Puerto Rico's elections commission.

Kennedy's post of the article underscored the importance of Puerto Rico's paper ballot trail, which allowed the issue to be identified and rectified. He expressed apprehension about the potential consequences in jurisdictions lacking such a paper trail. "What happens in jurisdictions where there is no paper trail," Kennedy questioned. "U.S. citizens need to know that every one of their votes were counted, and that their elections cannot be hacked. We need to return to paper ballots to avoid electronic interference with elections," he further advocated.

The debate over electronic voting machines continues, with advocates for traditional voting methods emphasizing the importance of ensuring the integrity of the democratic process.
