WATCH: Here's Trump's Response To The Possibility Of Jail Time

In a recent Sunday morning interview, former President Donald Trump discussed the potential of facing jail time during his upcoming arraignment on July 11 before Judge Juan Merchan.

"I'm okay with it," Trump stated when asked about the possibility.

The interview, conducted by Rachel Campos-Duffy, Pete Hegseth, and Will Cain, touched on various topics, including the timing of the arraignment. The court date is set just four days prior to the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Trump is expected to be officially nominated as the party's presidential candidate. "That's part of the game," Trump responded when questioned about the timing.

Hegseth raised the notion that Trump could potentially "appeal directly to the Supreme Court due to the special nature of this case." He further inquired about the ongoing legal challenges Trump faces, and the possibility of house arrest or even jail time. Trump reiterated his earlier sentiment, stating, "I'm okay with it."

Trump was found guilty on 34 class E felony counts of falsifying business records in a New York courtroom last Thursday. The charges stem from allegations that Trump recorded payments to his then-attorney Michael Cohen as legal fees in his bookkeeping records. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg argued that this constituted election interference, suggesting that without Cohen's payments to Stormy Daniels, with whom Trump allegedly had an affair, Trump would not have won the 2016 election.

Each count carries a potential sentence of four years in prison. New York Mayor Eric Adams has indicated that the city's incarceration facilities have begun preparations for the potential imprisonment of the former president, who would be accompanied by a Secret Service detail.
