In a recent development, Cory Mills, a Republican representative from Florida, has proposed a strategic shift in the Republican National Convention's schedule.
He suggests that the convention be moved to early July, allowing President Donald Trump to be nominated on Independence Day, July 4th. This would occur before the sentencing of the Republican presidential nominee by Judge Juan Merchan, a New York judge with communist leanings, scheduled for July 11th in a contentious legal case.
The idea was first introduced by Representative Mills during Maria Bartiromo's morning show on Friday. The conversation revolved around the fear that the left has of Trump's potential return to power.
Maria Bartiromo questioned, "What are they so afraid of? Why are they so afraid of Trump?"
To which Rep. Cory Mills responded, "Well, because they know that he can win and he's gonna take back the presidency and he's gonna change the corruption in the deep state. He knows that the deep police state, just like when they tried to hire 87,000 armed IRS agents, theyre trying to increase their powers and try to violate our constitutional rights and liberties the rest of the left and the rest of the deep state knows hes going to clean house"
Mills further elaborated on his proposal, stating, "I think that we, as the Republican Party, first off, to poke them in the eye, we should go ahead and move our GOP conference and elect President Trump as our nominee on July fourth. We know theyre trying to prevent him from coming to the actual GOP gathering, so we should go ahead and start looking at that."
The representative expressed his frustration with the lack of accountability and the need for action, stating, "We have to start getting accountability, and we cant just continue to sit on our laurels and say, Oh, well, were the actual party of the role of law. Were the party of process."
Bartiromo, seeking clarification, asked, "Are you saying that youre proposing moving the Republican National Convention to July 4th, as opposed to July 15th? Is that what you just said?
Rep. Cory Mills confirmed, "Thats exactly what Im saying. If theyre going to try to do a sentencing on the 11th, which I know will hold him up, I say we bring President Trump, we move it and we elect him as our nominee on July 4th, Independence Day, and we start moving forward. I think thats a symbolic measure and I think it tells them exactly where were at as America.
The proposal by Rep. Mills has been hailed as a brilliant suggestion, with calls for Republicans to take decisive action rather than engaging in weak word games. The story was reported by Kyle Becker.
