Fox Contributor SLAMS Democrats After Hochul Labels Trump Supporters As Clowns

In a recent appearance on Fox News' "Hannity," contributor Joe Concha characterized the Democratic Party as the "party of elites."

This statement came in response to New York Governor Kathy Hochul's disparaging remarks about her state's supporters of former President Donald Trump.

The discussion revolved around the substantial support Trump received at a rally in the Bronx, a borough known for its strong Democratic leanings. Guest host Jason Chaffetz highlighted Hochul's derogatory description of Trump supporters as "clowns," prompting Concha to share his perspective on the governor's comment.

Chaffetz expressed his concern, stating, "Its as if they dont understand the phenomenon of Donald Trump and they talk down and belittle these people. And they have a very, very negative and dark message for the people of New York and the other blue states and the entire United States, Joe."

Concha responded by drawing parallels with the 2016 presidential election, where Hillary Clinton's infamous "basket of deplorables" comment about Trump supporters was seen as a turning point. "And Jason, they dont understand history recent history where 2016 Hillary Clinton called Donald Trump supporters a basket of deplorables and I will say, you may agree, that was the turning point in that election," Concha said.

He continued, "All states that [Trump] won because he understood the struggles that they were going through under the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton says, Oh no, theyre just deplorables, theyre racists, theyre xenophobic. So why would Kathy Hochul possibly go down that road and call all the people that attended that rally in the south Bronx clowns? It will backfire because, again, the Democrats used to be the party of the working man and woman and now theyre the party of elites and it shows. I mean, its very obvious at this point.

Governor Hochul appeared on CNN on Friday afternoon to counter the political implications of the Bronx rally, which had demonstrated significant support for the former president in the traditionally Democratic state. In conversation with CNN host Jake Tapper, Hochul confidently asserted her state's support for President Joe Biden in the upcoming November elections.

"Well, Ill tell you what wont make a difference at all, Jake, and that is for Donald Trump to be a ringleader and invite all his clowns to a place like the Bronx. New York will never, ever support Donald Trump for president. We know him better than anyone. And that means we understand what hes all about is just for himself," Hochul stated. "So, this state will go solidly behind Joe Biden for president as it has in the past. So he wants to spend his time doing these made-up, fake rallies and pretending theres support here? Be my guest because, while youre doing that, Donald Trump, Joe Bidens out there on the other side, making sure hes delivering for all Americans.

Despite Hochul's confidence, recent polls conducted by Siena College indicate a competitive landscape within the state. While Biden leads Trump by 47% to 38%, data within the city area shows Biden trailing by 20 points as Trump has gained seven points compared to their 2020 numbers, according to Forbes.
