Prominent actor and comedian Michael Rapaport, known for his staunch leftist views, has publicly withdrawn his endorsement of President Joe Biden, even going so far as to suggest that voting for former President Donald Trump "is on the table."
This dramatic shift in Rapaport's political stance comes in the wake of the Biden administration's recent decision to reverse its initial plan to supply weapons to Israel amidst its ongoing conflict with Hamas.
Rapaport, who is of Jewish descent, has been vocally critical of Biden's handling of the terrorist attack on Israel on October 7. He expressed his deep-seated disappointment with the Democratic president during an appearance on X this week, indicating that he had reached his breaking point.
"Joe Biden, you know who I am. You know my work. I'm the one who coined the term 'd*ck stain Donald Trump'," Rapaport stated in a post on X. "I didn't ask for a thank you. I didn't ask for an invite to the White House. I did it out of passion, because I couldn't stand him," he added.
Rapaport's frustration with Biden was palpable as he continued, "And you...you're not sending weapons to Israel during a war while American hostages and hostages from 22 other countries are still trapped there? You're not sending weapons now? Let me tell you something. I never thought I'd say this, but I promise you this: I, Michael Rapaport, am not voting for you. You're not getting my vote."
He reiterated his point, stating, "I've said it once, and I'll say it again. This is why voting for Donald Trump is on the table."
While it remains uncertain whether the famously anti-Trump actor will officially endorse Trump for president, this is not the first time Rapaport has considered this possibility since the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict.
In February, Rapaport made a similar statement leaning towards Trump, prompted by his dissatisfaction with Biden's approach to the Israel-Hamas war and the surge of illegal immigrants in New York City, a consequence of Biden's open-border policies.
