In a historic fundraising event held in West Palm Beach, former President Donald Trump and his supporting groups have reportedly raised a staggering $50.

5 million, according to a press release from the Republican National Committee (RNC).

This figure is said to have shattered all previous fundraising records, irrespective of party affiliation. The sum is also notably twice the amount raised at a recent New York City fundraiser held by President Joe Biden.

The press release from the RNC stated, "President Trumps Palm Beach dinner will raise over $50.5 million smashing every fundraising record in history for a Republican or Democrat. This comes after Bidens desperate New York event took three presidents to raise just $25 million, and as the Trump campaign and RNCs small dollar fundraising program continues to grow each month."

Senior advisors to the Trump campaign, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, expressed their excitement over the record-breaking event. They stated, Tonight will be an incredible night for President Trump and the Republican Party, raising an astounding $50.5 million." They further emphasized Trump's growing popularity, stating, "Donald J. Trump is winning poll after poll and proving that the enthusiasm is on his side. Its clearer than ever that we have the message, the operation, and the money to propel President Trump to victory on November 5.

RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and Co-Chairman Lara Trump also addressed what they perceive as Biden's major shortcomings, particularly in relation to the border and the economy. They stated, The Republican Party is united behind the effort to elect President Donald J. Trump, and Americans are lining up to join our movement and retire Crooked Joe Biden once and for all.

Former President Trump also responded to the fundraising success on Truth Social. Prior to the fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, he declared the upcoming 2024 election as "the most important ... election weve ever had.
