Trumps, Trumps, Everywhere! Lara Trump Takes The Reigns At The RNC

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has elected Lara Trump, the eldest daughter-in-law of former President Donald J. Trump, as its new co-chair.

She will serve alongside Michael Whatley, who has been appointed as the committee's new chairman. This development is part of the RNC's ongoing restructuring of its central committee, following a period of perceived underperformance under the leadership of former RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

Lara Trump, married to Eric Trump and mother of two, has been a prominent figure within the Republican party. She recently presented a $100,000 donation to the RNC, emphasizing the critical role of fundraising in the lead-up to the November election.

The RNC's operations will also be guided by Chris LaCivita, a senior advisor to the Trump campaign. Whatley, who was unanimously elected to succeed McDaniel, has committed to expanding initiatives to address key issues ahead of the November election. These include safeguarding the election from potential fraudulent activity by deploying poll watchers, workers, and judges to monitor the voting process and ballot counting in real-time.

"The Republican National Committee will be focused like a laser on getting out the vote and protecting the ballot," Whatley declared in his acceptance speech. "If our voters dont have confidence that our elections are safe and secure, nothing else matters Over the next eight months, the RNC will work hand in glove with President Trumps campaign."

Ronna McDaniel, who was appointed by Trump in 2017, formally resigned on Friday. Despite winning an unprecedented fourth term in January 2023, she offered her resignation in February amid growing dissatisfaction with her leadership from Trump and his advisors.

In the wake of the effective merger between the RNC and the Trump campaign, GOP advisors are set to counter the Democratic Party's robust fundraising efforts for President Biden's reelection campaign through joint fundraising opportunities, as reported by the Washington Post.

Furthermore, the RNC plans to collaborate with the Trump campaign on field operations in swing states, voter mobilization campaigns, and legal challenges to voting processes and potential outcome disputes.
