Alabama Judge In Critical Condition After Son Guns Him Down...

Alabama Judge Johnny Hardwick is currently in critical condition, fighting for his life following an alleged shooting by his son, as reported by the New York Post.

The incident took place in the judge's residence, where his son, Khalfani Hardwick, reportedly shot him, resulting in critical injuries. Authorities have labeled the event as a "domestic incident" that turned violent, leading to the reported shooting.

According to the New York Post, no charges have been brought against Khalfani at this time. Judge Hardwick's condition was deemed severe, requiring immediate surgical intervention. He is currently receiving medical treatment for serious injuries, although specific details regarding the extent of his wounds have not been disclosed by the authorities.

This tragic event is not the first time Khalfani has been linked to violent offenses. The New York Post revealed his involvement in the 2014 fatal shooting of Clayton Riley, a case that ended with a plea deal reducing the initial attempted murder charge to second-degree assault. Despite his father's judicial position at the time, Khalfani did not serve a prison sentence for his role in Riley's death.

Judge Hardwick has been a prominent figure in the 15th Judicial Circuit since 2001 and recently took on the role of president of the Alabama Association of Circuit Court Judges, according to the New York Post.
