Karma Is A B*tch: Illegal Immigrant Suspected In NYPD Attack ARRESTED For Robbing Macy's

A suspect involved in the assault of two New York Police Department officers near Times Square, who is believed to be an illegal immigrant, has been arrested once again.

This time, the individual, identified as 19-year-old Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, was apprehended for allegedly robbing a Macy's store in Queens.

Despite facing two felony charges for his involvement in the attack on the police officers, Gomez-Izquiel was released without bail by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Shortly after his release, he reportedly committed another crime.

According to Fox News, Gomez-Izquiel, along with three other suspects, is accused of stealing clothing worth $608 from the Macy's at the Queens Center Mall on Tuesday evening. As they attempted to leave the store, a security guard tried to stop them, resulting in one of the suspects punching the guard in the face, causing minor injuries.

While Gomez-Izquiel was captured the following morning, the other three suspects remain at large. He has since been charged with robbery and petit larceny.

NYPD Deputy Commissioner Kaz Daughtry expressed his frustration with the repeat offender, sharing the teenager's mugshot on social media while he was still on the run. Daughtry assured the public that Gomez-Izquiel "will be in handcuffs again very soon."

Daughtry lamented the situation, stating, "One of the migrants who assaulted our officers last week in Times Square is back at it again. This time he was part of a group that robbed a department store in Queens. They also assaulted an employee. Different borough, different crime same disregard for the law. This is the last thing NYers need."

The sentiment was echoed by the NYC Police Benevolent Association, who emphasized that those who attack police officers in New York City have no respect for the law. The association highlighted the consequences of the justice system's failure to hold such individuals accountable, as they become emboldened to victimize others. They called for Gomez-Izquiel to be returned to custody and kept there.
