Fast Food Feud Turns Fatal: Michigan Man Beaten To Death Over Taco Bell Order

A 72-year-old man from Michigan, Dale Mitchell, tragically lost his life after a heated argument over a Taco Bell order turned deadly.

According to reports from FOX2, Mitchell was allegedly beaten to death by his roommate, Mark Newsome, during the altercation that took place in a boarding house in Roseville, a suburb located 13 miles north of Detroit.

The incident unfolded when Mitchell and Newsome began arguing and fighting over the fast food, escalating to a point where Newsome repeatedly punched his elderly roommate in the head, resulting in his untimely demise. The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office confirmed the details of the incident.

Two other roommates, Bob McQuade and Larry Melton, were awoken by the commotion as they attempted to sleep. McQuade recounted hearing Mitchell pleading, "Why are you doing this? Leave me alone. Quit, please quit." The violent encounter left a trail of blood throughout the upstairs area, leaving McQuade and Melton in shock and disbelief.

McQuade expressed his astonishment, stating, "It's just senseless. I trusted Mark as my friend. I could never believe he would've done something like that." The gravity of the situation was echoed by Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido, who emphasized the need for a different perspective on life, remarking, "If we've come to grips with life about fighting and killing somebody over a taco or food itself, there's gotta be more to life than that. It would have been a lot easier to walk away."

The tragic outcome of a fight over food left McQuade struggling to comprehend the situation, stating, "To think a fight over food would escalate into murder. It's inconceivable." Newsome now faces charges of Second Degree Murder, a felony that carries a potential life sentence, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.
