The body of a missing child, who disappeared five years ago, has reportedly been found encased in concrete.
The discovery was made during a homicide investigation when police emptied a storage unit in Colorado due to unpaid rent. According to The AP, the child's body was found inside a metal container within the storage unit.
Sgt. Franklyn Ortega of the Pueblo Police Department stated that the police will inform the victim's parents before releasing the name, age, and suspected time of death of the child. Two suspects have been identified by investigators, although it is unclear whether the child's parents are among them.
Following the discovery of the unidentified victim's remains, the Pueblo Police launched an investigation into the safety of two other children, Jesus Dominguez and Yesenia Dominguez. According to Ortega, there has been no sign or indication of Jesus, who would now be 10 years old, and Yesenia, who would be 9 years old, since July 2018. It is important to note that both children have not been reported missing.
Ortega revealed that he has spoken to the parents of Jesus and Yesenia, indicating that the police are actively working to ensure their safety. The Pueblo County Coroner will release further information once the victim's parents have been contacted.
This tragic discovery has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of the two missing children, as well as the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the child whose body was found. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are determined to uncover the truth and bring justice to those involved.
