In a chilling revelation, David Tahar, the father of 19-year-old Israeli soldier Sgt.

Adir Tahar, has claimed that his son was brutally decapitated by Hamas militants who then attempted to sell his severed head.

The Jerusalem-based soldier was reportedly killed in southern Israel, with his killers allegedly taking his head back to Gaza, as reported by The Jewish Chronicle.

David Tahar made these shocking allegations during an interview with Channel 14, an Israeli television channel. He detailed the horrifying ordeal of burying his son's mutilated body, only to later discover that his son's head had been severed and taken by the terrorists.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reportedly found Adir Tahar's head in a duffel bag filled with tennis balls in a freezer in Gaza, two and a half months after his death. The gruesome discovery was made following the interrogation of Hamas terrorists, one of whom allegedly tried to sell the head for $10,000, as reported by the Daily Mail.

In his quest for answers, David Tahar stumbled upon a distressing video on Telegram that confirmed his worst fears. "Theres a video from Telegram. Unfortunately, I found the video of my son, where you can see that my child is without this essential part of him," he said, according to The Jewish Chronicle.

David Tahar expressed relief at the recovery of his son's head, despite the horrific circumstances. "Its a miracle we were eventually able to recover his head. We recovered the bones, what they found, tested DNA, also found teeth and buried him," he said.

The grieving father shared the harrowing details of his son's death and the painful process of collecting his son's body parts to give him a proper burial. He recounted the horrifying moment when he saw his son's headless body. "The terrorists, the barbarians, they beheaded him and took the head to Gaza. I did everything I could, it wasnt easy, in the end I got a body without a head. I insisted that the army let me see the body," David said.

Despite warnings from the military about the gruesome sight, David Tahar insisted on seeing his son's body. "They tried to explain to me that I should not see it," he said. "Half an hour before I buried my child, his body arrived at Mount Herzi, I opened the coffin when I was alone," David said. "I understood then what I was burying. He was unrecognizable."

The identification of Sgt. Adir Tahar's remains was made possible through his soldier dog tag and a DNA test due to the severe mutilation of his body. David Tahar then had to endure the heart-wrenching process of burying his son for the second time, as his head was added to the burial.
