AOC's PAC Calls For Biden To Exit 2024 Race, Warns Of Trump's Looming Democracy Destruction

The No Excuses PAC, a political action committee spearheaded by Corbin Trent, a former communications director for Democratic Socialist Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has urged President Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.

The call was made through a new landing page and digital advertisement on the PAC's website.

The PAC's appeal is rooted in President Biden's lagging poll numbers against former President Donald Trump in critical swing states. The landing page commends Biden for having "accomplished more in three years than most two-term presidents." However, it warns, "But battleground state voters say theyll vote for Trump if youre the Democratic nominee. It might not make sense. But it doesnt have to."

The PAC further cautions that if Biden insists on retaining power, his legacy could be marred by Trump's final demolition of American democracy. Conversely, if he steps down, he could be remembered as one of the greatest presidents in history. The message concludes with a plea for $3 donations from visitors to the webpage, stating, "Thank you, Joe But now its time to go."

The PAC, which has previously advocated for the termination of the filibuster, refers to a New York Times/Siena College poll that shows Biden trailing Trump in swing states. The PAC suggests that if Biden "stepped aside this month and allowed a primary, many strong Democrats could show us what theyve got."

The webpage lists potential Democratic leaders, including popular swing state governors Gretchen Whitmer, Josh Shapiro, and Tony Evers; national figures like Elizabeth Warren, Gavin Newsom, Cory Booker; and Ro Khanna; and emerging stars like Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona.

The PAC criticizes the Biden team for adhering to the long-standing Democratic Party strategy of hoping their opponent will self-defeat, a tactic they claim led to losses in 2016, 2004, and 2000. The PAC warns that the stakes are too high to merely hope for the best, as dangerous figures from the Trump presidency are planning to dismantle the federal government and justice system if they regain the White House, backed by billionaire donors and conservative think tanks.

The PAC asserts that the only way to avert this disaster is for Biden to step aside and allow a Democratic primary to occur. The webpage concludes by acknowledging Biden's significant achievements during his presidency, which could be his legacy if he steps aside. However, if he does not, he risks being remembered as the president whose selfishness enabled Trump to complete the destruction of American democracy.

This call for Biden's withdrawal comes as he strives to fend off Trump in swing states, while also contending with the independent presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
