Placing Bets: Here Are George Soros' 2024 Election Predictions

George Soros', the left-wing billionaire, has provided his latest update on predictions he has for how the 2024 election will play out.

Fox News reports that Soros calls for a Democrat landslide if Trump and DeSantis get into a major fight between themselves in the primary.

Soros spoke at the Munich Security Conference about this matter and stated that he believes it is likely that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will compete for the GOP nomination for President in 2024. He predicts that DeSantis will win that nomination over Trump. Soros said he also hopes that Trump will have his pride hurt severely enough by a primary loss that he will run as a third-party candidate. If that were to happen, it seems likely that Trump would divide a lot of the conservative vote between himself and DeSantis (as the official Republican candidate in this scenario) and hand the election to Joe Biden.

Soros said: "My hope for 2024 is that Trump and Gov. DeSantis of Florida will slug it out for the Republican nomination."

He continued by saying: "Trump has turned into a pitiful figure, continually bemoaning his loss in 2020. Big Republican donors are abandoning him in droves."

Soros has stated that he predicts DeSantis will run for the White House. There is a lot of speculation that this will be the case, but there has yet to be an official announcement from DeSantis or his team.

Soros stated the following about the situation: "This could induce Trump, whose narcissism has turned into a disease, to run as a third-party candidate. That would lead to a Democratic landslide and force the Republican Party to reform itself,". However, he conceded: "But perhaps I may be just a bit biased."

Already, the 2024 race is underway as former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley said she is also running for president in 2024. This means that Trump and Haley are the first two primary candidates to have announced their intentions. There are no prominent Democrats to announce yet, though it is widely expected that Biden will run for re-election. If that occurs, he will unlikely have any serious competition on the Democrat side. That gives Republicans some pause as they know this will give him an edge to begin fundraising and messaging efforts right away.

No matter what, 2024 will be an election year to watch.
