Hollywood Star Takes Controversial Trip To Gaza, Stands With IDF Soldiers Against Hamas

Esteemed pro-Israel actress Debra Messing has recently stirred up social media after she was seen in several photographs taken during her visit to IDF soldiers in Gaza.

The visit, which also included journalists and a renowned Hollywood screenwriter, was documented and shared on various platforms including X and Instagram.

The photographs, which were published on these platforms, featured Messing in the company of Douglas Murray, a columnist for the New York Post, and Lee Kern, the screenwriter for "Borat 2". The visit to the conflict-ridden area occurred in the aftermath of the horrific massacre in Israel by Hamas on October 7.

One of the images shared by Kern on Instagram depicted him and Messing donning military helmets and vests while they were at the front lines of the war. Messing's vest bore a large patch that read, "Ministry of Foreign Affairs Israel."

Kern, in the caption of his post, expressed his admiration for Messing's courage and her unwavering support for the Jewish community in Israel against the terror group. He wrote, "@therealdebramessing is a badass. Not only has she been speaking out when others have been silent, she came into a war zone today to see one of the terror tunnels built by Hamas."

He further added, "She is a Queen of our people and she deserves all the love."

In a video shared by Kern on the same platform, Messing was seen interacting with IDF soldiers. She was filmed presenting a flower to a tank operator, expressing her gratitude by saying, "Thank you for everything, for what youre doing. You are heroes. I want you to know that everyone in the United States is theyre thinking of you, and thanking you and standing by you, and praying for you. Stay safe."

Kern captioned the video, "Giving love to Israeli soldiers with Debra Messing."

Murray also shared a photograph of him with Messing in Gaza, captioning it, "On a trip to Gaza with the amazing Debra Messing."

Libby Along, an Israeli journalist, posted a picture of Murray and Messing, writing, "Debra Messing, on her first visit to Israel, entered the Hamas tunnels in Gaza today together with the legendary journalist Douglas Murray."

Messing, known for her role in "Will & Grace", has been vocal about her support for Israel throughout its ongoing conflict with Hamas. In November, she delivered a speech at the "March for Israel" in Washington, D.C., stating, "We will remember and work for the release of the 240 hostages, as well as for the safety of the 2.2 million Gazans also held hostage by Hamas. We will pray for the success of the IDF for a war Israel did not start, did not want, but a war Israel will win. Because we must."
