In a shocking incident in Louisiana, a woman and her three husbands have been apprehended by the police for allegedly holding a woman captive as a sex slave.
The group, who reportedly followed Vikingism, purportedly compelled the captive to renounce Christianity and threatened to sacrifice a puppy "to the gods."
The police took into custody Hannah Frisby, 29, along with two of her three husbands, Caleb Frisby, 28, and Justin Cowart, 26, on Thursday. Tommy Allen, 54, Frisby's uncle, was also arrested in connection with the case.
Hannah Frisby has been charged with first-degree rape, ritualistic acts, and aggravated battery. Cowart is facing charges of aggravated battery and first-degree rape, while Caleb Frisby has been charged with aggravated battery. Allen is facing a charge of aggravated battery.
According to court documents, the alleged victim, who suffers from autism and ADHD, revealed to investigators that she was in a polyamorous relationship with Hannah Frisby, Caleb Frisby, and Justin Cowart. She reportedly described Hannah as the "head" of the group.
The victim claimed that Hannah demanded she live with the group if she wished to continue the relationship. Consequently, the victim allegedly moved into the house with Hannah and her three husbands.
The victim further alleged that the group forced her to renounce Christianity to adopt their religions, which included Wiccan witchcraft, satanism, and Vikingism.
Local news outlet KTVE reported, "After being in the relationship for two weeks, the victim was punished by being forced to enter scalding hot water and scrub herself with stiff bristled brushes covered in bleach in front of residents in the home. According to court documents, the punishment was due to the victims self-harming." This cruel act was reportedly performed to exorcise the victim of "evil spirits."
Arrest records reveal that the victim accused Hannah Frisby of threatening to sacrifice a puppy "to the gods." The New York Post reported that it remains unclear whether the puppy was actually killed.
According to the affidavit, the group allegedly informed the victim that she was merely a slave and was expected to provide sexual services to the husbands on demand. They purportedly told her that she needed to reproduce to "move up ranks" in the family.
On September 21, the victim's sibling visited the house. The victim reportedly asked her sister, "How is Freddy?" - a safety code in their family to secretly signal distress. The victim then handed her sister a notebook with a plea for help written in it: "Help me. They wont let me leave. They beat me every day like a slave."
The Ouachita Parish Sheriffs Office arrived shortly after to rescue the victim, as reported by KNOE. Hannah Frisby, Caleb Frisby, and Justin Cowart were arrested on Thursday and detained at the Ouachita Correctional Center. Allen was also arrested on allegations of abusing the victim.
