In a chilling incident that unfolded in Washington state over the weekend, a bloodied woman appeared at a local residence, alleging she had been held captive for several days in a nearby house.

Upon investigation, police discovered a deceased man within the said house, according to local authorities.

The 27-year-old woman, bearing multiple deep lacerations on her head, claimed to have escaped from a house near Sehmel Drive in Gig Harbor after being assaulted by an older man, as reported by the Gig Harbor Police Department.

Gary and Robin Marcello, the homeowners where the woman sought refuge, were awakened by their doorbell in the middle of the night. Gary Marcello recounted the shocking sight of the young woman, covered in blood, walking away from his driveway. "She turned around and looked at me and had blood all over her face," he said.

Robin Marcello described the scene as "horrific," adding that the woman was bleeding from her ear and kept repeating, "Hes going to kill me, hes going to kill me."

The distressed woman informed the officers that she had been picked up from an unknown location in either King or Thurston County by a man she did not recognize. She also admitted to drug use. However, she was unable to provide further details before being rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.

Upon reaching the house indicated by the woman, police found traces of blood on the porch. Despite attempts to communicate with anyone inside, there was no response. Assisted by the Pierce County Sheriffs Department, officers obtained a warrant and entered the house, where they discovered a 66-year-old man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Evidence of an attempted arson was also found within the premises.

The identities of the woman and the deceased man have not been released by the police.
