On Saturday, a mysterious person warned that he would drive his Jeep into the Iowa spot where Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for Governor of Arizona, was hosting a rally.
A police report obtained by The Iowa Star described a "scruffy and big man who allegedly proclaimed himself to be God and threatened to drive his vehicle through the bar doors.
Details first emerged indicating that a angry, threatening man had entered District Venue on 1350 Southwest Vintage Parkway in Ankeny in the suburbs of Des Moines at 5:28 pm, shortly after the arrival of Lake.
The police report said, male was acting strange in the parking lot asking where the event was tonight. It also mentioned that he spoke to one of the bartenders in the event telling them Remember my shirt, before driving away in his car.
The Star reported that a source indicated the proprietor of the location put his vehicle at the back entrance of the building in the event the individual tried to take action.
A journalist who was covering the rally observed a big man at the entrance of the place, apparently shouting something incomprehensible before he was taken out.
Law enforcement has put out a "Special Watch" for the individual who has escaped and is still on the loose. The suspect drove away in an old yellow Jeep Renegade.
In the evening, a law enforcement officer noticed the car, yet was unable to identify the license plate as it was already getting onto the highway, according to the report.
The Saturday rally was a standing-only event to support former President Donald Trump's 2024 campaign for the White House. Ex-Iowa Governor Terry Branstad, who was an ambassador to China in the Trump administration, was present, in addition to Republican Party representatives.
Kari Lake is now challenging her loss to democrat Katie Hobbs in the Arizona elections in an Arizona appeals court. This is her second legal attempt, she lost the initial one.
At the rally with more than 250 people in attendance, she declared her conviction that she would eventually take the governors seat.
Lake declared, I have just enough Arizona in me and just enough Iowa in me and Im not going to let them win.
