In a Las Vegas courtroom on Tuesday, Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16, the two teenagers accused of the brutal murder of retired police officer Andreas Probst, were seen laughing, smiling, and making obscene gestures towards the victim's family.

The pair are facing charges of murder with a deadly weapon, battery, and attempted murder, linked to the incident on August 14 that resulted in Probst's death and injuries to two other men. Despite the severity of their charges, both have pleaded not guilty and are being tried as adults.

The courtroom's video footage revealed the handcuffed teenagers, clad in green prison attire, sitting on a bench designated for defendants. The pair, aware of the recording cameras, concealed their faces with their hands before extending their middle fingers towards the Probst family, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The teenagers were also seen conversing, laughing, and smiling, both while seated on the bench and during their entrance and exit from the courtroom.

Taylor Probst, the victim's daughter, expressed her outrage at the teenagers' behavior. "They really have no remorse. It's just a game to them," she stated. She further criticized their lack of empathy, saying, "They really don't care if anyone else lives or dies; they don't care about themselves, if they live or die, and that can just be shown through their own actions."

Taylor also questioned the teenagers' upbringing, asking, "How can you just sit there after taking a man's life and act like such an entitled prick?" She suggested that the parents of Ayala and Keys had failed in their duty to raise their children appropriately.

The accused teenagers allegedly targeted Probst, a retired police chief with 35 years of service, while he was cycling in northwest Las Vegas. The entire incident, captured on camera, quickly circulated on social media, where the crime was universally denounced.
