Soros-Backed New Orleans DA And Elderly Mother Caught In Terrifying Carjacking Ambush

Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams, who is backed by George Soros, and his elderly mother were victims of a carjacking in New Orleans on Monday evening, according to Fox 8.

The incident occurred as Williams was assisting his mother into his vehicle, when two assailants armed with high-powered automatic rifles approached them, threatening them at gunpoint and demanding the surrender of the DA's car.

The Office of the Orleans Parish District Attorney confirmed the incident, stating, "OPDA confirms that DA Williams and his 78-year-old mother were carjacked at gunpoint as he was helping her into a car," as reported by Fox 8. The suspects quickly fled with the vehicle but later abandoned it at an undisclosed location.

Within just thirty minutes, they proceeded to commit another carjacking, targeting a young woman in the vicinity, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The unsettling incident took place around 10 pm on Race Street in the Lower Garden District. Fortunately, Williams had securely held onto the key fob, preventing the culprits from successfully escaping.

In response to the carjacking, Williams has expressed his intention to recuse himself and his office from the case if the perpetrators are apprehended. In such an event, the criminal division of Attorney General Jeff Landry's office will take over the proceedings.

This decision comes after Williams issued a stark warning earlier this year about the escalating violence in New Orleans and across the nation, as crime continues to wreak havoc in the city. According to The Daily Caller, Williams declined to prosecute 65% of all criminal cases in New Orleans in 2021 but has slowly begun to prosecute more cases as crime rates rise.
