WATCH: Joy Behar Sparks Controversy On 'The View' With This INSANE Claim

In a recent episode of "The View," co-host Joy Behar sparked a lively debate when she suggested that the United States could withstand the death of President Biden during his second term, but would not survive a potential re-election of former President Donald Trump.

The discussion was prompted by an Axios report that revealed measures being taken by Biden's team to prevent the president from falling again, and the ongoing media speculation about the president's age. Behar, in response, made a bold assertion about the country's resilience in the face of potential political upheaval.

"Let's say, God forbid, Joe Biden dies in office. Isn't that still okay for the country? The country will survive it. But if Trump wins, the country will not survive it," Behar stated, earning applause from the audience. "That's a fact."

Her co-hosts, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sara Haines, appeared to challenge Behar's perspective. Griffin expressed her hope that Trump would not be the nominee, emphasizing the need to realistically consider the possibility of Trump defeating Biden in a potential 2024 rematch.

"Trump's not going to beat Biden," Behar confidently predicted, to which another host responded, "he could."

Griffin voiced her concerns about a repeat of the 2016 election, to which Behar responded, "He already beat him in 2020 and he beat him by a lot. He'll beat him again."

Earlier in the segment, Haines had argued that the presidency was the "single most stressful job" anyone could hold, and that the conversation about age was not about "ageism."

"We keep couching it in front of Donald Trump and President Biden and theres a fair and critical argument to be had here about age when youre looking at this. Its not about ageism," Haines said.

She further argued that not all people of a certain age are built the same way and that age is becoming an arbitrary factor as people are living longer. Haines also pointed out that many leaders step down when they feel they've reached their limit, and that the presidency visibly ages its occupants.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg interjected, stating that Biden was "still doing the job," despite Haines' points.

Haines, while expressing her fondness for Biden, insisted that the age debate was necessary. "Donald Trump has way more than age against him like, literally I would take someone 98 next to Donald Trump. I will take anything," she said. "The age conversation needs to be had."
