Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton Emerges Victorious, Makes This DEMAND

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has emerged victorious and more resilient following an impeachment trial he describes as a politically motivated sham orchestrated by the Rove-Bush Republicans in name only (RINOs).

On Saturday, Paxton reiterated his demand for the resignation of the House Speaker Dade Phelan, who he accuses of being frequently inebriated while presiding over the Texas House. "In May, I called on liberal Speaker Dade Phelan to resign after he was recorded numerous times presiding over the Texas House in a state of apparent debilitating intoxication. Despite this embarrassing conduct, and his continuing erratic behavior, Phelan has refused to resign," Paxton stated.

Paxton also accused Phelan of squandering millions of taxpayers' dollars on a sham impeachment, obstructing a crucial border security bill, and enabling an Obama-affiliated lawyer to thwart conservative legislation. "As the legislature prepares for an anticipated special session to provide children with more opportunities for quality education, it is critical that Dade Phelan resigns as Speaker or is removed from his leadership position," Paxton added.

Paxton emphasized that Texans deserve "serious, conservative, and unimpaired leadership." He had previously called for Phelan's resignation in May, citing Phelan's apparent debilitating intoxication as a failure to fulfill his public duty.

On May 23rd, Paxton referred the matter to the House General Investigating and Ethics Committee. A video from May shows Phelan appearing to be inebriated.

Days later, Phelan and other RINOs in the Texas House announced a vote on a resolution to impeach Paxton on baseless charges. However, last Saturday, the Texas Senators acquitted Attorney General Paxton on all 16 articles of impeachment brought against him.

Following Paxton's acquittal, Phelan criticized the Senate and Lt. Governor Patrick for their handling of the impeachment trial, accusing them of manipulating the outcome and "cheating the people of Texas of justice." Phelan also warned that this is not the end for Paxton, who he says is the "subject of multiple other lawsuits, indictments, and investigations."

Despite these threats, Paxton remains undeterred and stronger than ever, suggesting that it may now be Phelan's turn to face scrutiny.
