No Holding Back: James Carville Give His Take On The SOTU And Has A Few Words For Republicans (Video)

James Carville, a long time Democratic strategist, was vehement in his criticism of what he described as the "White trashdom" of the GOP that was strikingly evident during the State of the Union address on Tuesday.

On Wednesday night, he was a guest on MSNBC's "The Beat with Ari Melber" to talk about the consequences of President Biden's speech from the preceding night, during which some Republicans jeered at particular sections.

Carville argued that the GOP's "White trashdom" was demonstrated when the president was booed, and he especially pointed to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.

Carville commented: "Well, you know, I told people, I have a Ph.D. in White trashology, and you saw real White trash on display. Let me say something about Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene, she dresses like White trash. She really needs a fashion consultant. I recommend George Santos. He could do a good job of dressing up where she doesnt announce her White trashdom by her own clothes."

Greene shouted "liar" to Biden, prompting boos from many in the GOP after he accused them of trying to reduce Medicare and Social Security programs. Biden claimed that only "some Republicans" were thinking of limiting those programs, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. stated last week that those programs were out of consideration prior to his conversation with the president.

Carville maintained that the reduction of Social Security and Medicare was a reality that had been documented extensively.

Carvill went on to discuss that the Republican Party has a long history of wanting to reduce Social Security and Medicare. Newt Gingrich, for example, shut down the government and was ultimately unsuccessful. George W. Bush also wanted to privatize the two programs, and when Paul Ryan and John Boehner were in office, they worked to cut them as much as possible.

He then remarked, "It is astounding how much White trash is present in the Republican Party. I have seen it before, but never to this extent."

"Look, when its been a Republican president, I wasnt an altar boy. When this comes, Im not anything close to it, but youve got to be smart and effective about the way you go about it. You go about it with a scalpel, not a meat cleaver, and she just doesnt know how to do this. Neither do a lot of them. And there are effective ways to be an opposition party, critical for Democracy, but we dont have an opposition party here. We got a bunch of crazy trashy White people that are just foaming at the mouth, and I think the Biden administration is happy with that," Carville said.

The left expressed shock and outrage over the Republican heckling of Joe Biden, yet when Nancy Pelosi ripped up Donald Trump's speech, there was little to no attention given.
