Scared Yet? This Well-Known Bank's Customers Report MAJOR Issues With Their Accounts (Video)

Bank of America customers were unhappy on Wednesday when money from their accounts went missing.

Not only that, but some that used the Zelle app to send and receive money from other people were missing money from that account too. Many took to social media to express their concern, with some posting videos.

At 10:08 AM, the DownDetector website reported over 1,200 Bank of America outages. According to the Washington Examiner, Zelle Support claimed the issue was with the banking institution. Zelle Support posted on social media:

The Zelle App & Network are up & running. We are aware of an issue [that is] impacting Bank Of America customers when sending & receiving payments. We recommend contacting Bank of Americas customer support team for additional updates.

Democrat Senator and former Presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren blamed both Bank of America and Zelle for the outage. She posted:

This [should be] fixed immediately, and customers [should be] compensated. Warren had previously criticized Zelle and noted that it and the bank were failing customers again.

On Twitter, users shared their negative account balances from Bank of America. Some said they could not seem to reach BOAs customer service department. According to the Western Journal, one user, @JaimeSeija, tweeted an image showing his account balance was $-2,060.44. He wrote:

WHAT THE HECK? @Bofa_Help @BankofAmerica, I want my money back ASAP! I dont have money for gas! [Stuck at home]. Your customer service phone doesnt work! WHATS WRONG?

Another user, @briannaleopard, tweeted:

So cool how @BankofAmerica magically disappeared a large Zelle transaction that [HAD] ALREADY POSTED and I had used to pay bills. Now Im extremely in debt in my checking, and I cant get ahold of them. Unbelievable.

According to the New York Post, it received a statement from BOA that read:

Zelle transactions made between January 14 and January 17 may be delayed in occurring and posting to accounts as requested. Transfers will [be] completed and [will] appear in [customers] account activity and balances as soon as possible. We apologize for any delay or inconvenience.

No matter the reason, its unnerving when a trusted banking institution experiences a glitch in its services that prevent customers from getting their hard-earned cash or paying their debts.
