Outgoing White House Press Secretary Lands New Role With Pro-Trump Political Group

Departing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her post at the end of the month to rejoin a pro-Trump political fundraising group, underscoring the enduring strength of the MAGA movement within Republican politics.

According to Breitbart, the 28-year-old spokeswoman will return to MAGA Inc., a pro-Trump super PAC, or political action committee, that played a key role in supporting President Donald Trumps agenda in recent election cycles. Such organizations can raise unlimited money and then use it to influence elections, including through advertising, as long as they do not directly coordinate with candidates and their official campaigns.

Leavitt told journalists that she would still join the president at a Republican convention in Dallas, Texas, in early September, ahead of Novembers midterm elections. She previously worked for MAGA Inc. from 2022 to 2024 before joining Trumps campaign team, reflecting a tight-knit network of loyal operatives committed to advancing his America First platform.

Asked Friday about a successor to Leavitt, the youngest person ever to hold the position of White House press secretary, Trump said he had never had so many job applications in my life. That level of interest highlights how service in his administration remains a coveted role for conservatives who reject the priorities of the progressive establishment.

Leavitt, who gave birth to her second child in early May, announced on August 12 that she was leaving her position to devote more time to her family. Her move back to MAGA Inc. allows her to remain a prominent player in the conservative movement while prioritizing family lifean arrangement many on the right see as emblematic of the values they want public policy to protect.
