Rand Pauls Son Accused Of Drunken Anti-Jewish, Anti-Gay Rant At GOP Rep. In DC Bar

The adult son of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) allegedly unleashed a profane antisemitic and homophobic rant at Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) in a Washington, DC, bar on Tuesday night, declaring that the Iran conflict was about the gays and the Jews, and I hate them both, and I dont care if they die.

In a phone interview recounting the episode, Lawler said he had been seated with a friend and a reporter for NOTUS at a popular DC establishment when the confrontation began, as reported by The New York Post. According to Lawler, the man identified as William Paul inserted himself into their conversation, appearing fing drunk and belligerent, and then launched into a tirade about how if Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) lost his primary, its because of my people.

So Rand Pauls fing son is sitting next to us at the at the bar And he just like chimes in on our conversation, fing drunk and belligerent, and then starts going off about, you know, if [Rep. Thomas] Massie [R-Ky.] loses [his primary], its because of my people, Lawler recalled. When Lawler pressed him on what he meant, he said Paul replied, Jews, and Im like, Do you think Im Jewish? Im Irish-Italian Catholic, buddy.

Hes like, Wait, youre not Jewish? Lawler remembered, adding that he responded, And even if I was, whats the problem? The New York Republican said the younger Paul then veered into a rant about the Middle East, claiming the US was trying to steal Irans land for the Jews and steal the West Bank, prompting Lawler to ask, What are you talking about?

At that point, William Paul said: This war, its all about the gays and the Jews, and I hate them both, and I dont care if they die. Reps for Sen. Pauls office did not immediately respond to a request for comment, leaving unanswered whether any disciplinary or corrective action will be taken over rhetoric that many conservatives view as fundamentally at odds with American and Judeo-Christian values.
