California Democrats Stay Silent After Radical Anti-Israel Groups Los Angeles Bomb Plot Is Foiled

A coordinated bomb plot orchestrated by a radical anti-Israel group was thwarted by federal authorities, yet prominent California Democrats, including Governor Gavin Newsom and Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff, have remained conspicuously silent on the matter.

According to The Washington Free Beacon, Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed that the Justice Department apprehended four members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an organization characterized by its "anti-government, anti-capitalist" stance and promotion of anti-Israel ideologies.

The group allegedly intended to detonate five bombs across Los Angeles on New Years Eve, marking their targets with Hamas triangles, as detailed in a criminal complaint. Despite the gravity of the situation, elected Democrats representing the city and state, such as Reps. Pete Aguilar, Derek Tran, Maxine Waters, and others, have not responded to requests for comment.

While these officials have not addressed the bomb plot, they have been active on social media. Governor Newsom, for instance, announced new appointments to the states public health department. Meanwhile, Rep. Robert Garcia expressed sorrow over the murders of filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, mentioning "domestic terrorism" without further elaboration.

"Really horrible news about the Reiner family. A tragic weekend of shootings, domestic terrorism, and so much evil and pain. Love and light to all impacted," Garcia stated shortly after Bondi's announcement.

The rise of anti-Semitism, both domestically and internationally, has been marked by numerous high-profile attacks. A recent incident involved the killing of 15 individuals, including a 10-year-old girl and a Holocaust survivor, at a Hanukkah celebration by gunmen with ISIS affiliations.

In the Los Angeles bomb plot, federal prosecutors charged Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante Gaffield, and Tina Lai with conspiracy and possession of unregistered destructive devices. The criminal complaint highlights the defendants' strong connections to the anti-Israel movement, with TILF embracing militant rhetoric and endorsing violence. Photographs in the document depict alleged bomb-making stations adorned with "Free Palestine" stickers.

The complaint further indicates that TILF planned to target two companies, though their identities remain undisclosed. Earlier this month, the group protested outside the Los Angeles office of Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense firm.

"These genocidal war criminals have no place in our city, and no place in Palestine. Never let them live in peace," the group declared on Instagram. As the threat of radical ideologies persists, the silence from California's Democratic leadership raises questions about their stance on such critical security issues.
