Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk, recently participated in a CBS News town hall following an interview with Fox News host Harris Faulkner.

The event was overseen by CBS's new editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss. During the town hall, Erika Kirk expressed her dismay at those who celebrate her husband's assassination, describing such behavior as "sick" and attributing it to the dehumanizing effects of the internet. "He's a human being. You think he deserved that? Tell that to my 3-year-old daughter," she stated, her voice breaking with emotion.

As reported by Gateway Pundit, the town hall took a contentious turn when Hunter Kozak, a self-identified progressive and the last person to speak with Charlie Kirk, posed a challenging question to Erika Kirk regarding President Trump. Kozak, who was in close proximity to Charlie Kirk at the time of his assassination, asked if she would denounce President Trump's alleged violent rhetoric towards the 'Seditious Six' Democrats.

"Will you condemn the violent rhetoric of Donald Trump, the most powerful and influential person on earth?" he inquired. Erika Kirk, maintaining her composure, refrained from directly addressing President Trump, instead emphasizing the broader issue at hand. "You can choose to have evil in your heart, or you can choose to have light," she remarked, highlighting the impact of external influences on one's character.

In response to Bari Weiss's question about whether political leaders should work to reduce tensions, Erika Kirk affirmed that everyone bears that responsibility. "Well, I think everyone has a responsibility to do that, and I'm doing my part. I'm not in control of other people," she asserted.

Her comments underscore the importance of individual accountability and the need for a collective effort to foster a more civil discourse.
