Rosie O'Donnell, a figure known for her staunchly liberal views, seems to have influenced her son's political outlook.

During a conversation with Jim Acosta, a former CNN host, O'Donnell revealed that her 12-year-old son, Clay, who identifies as both autistic and transgender, often expresses frustration about President Trump by banging his hands on the table. "My daughter is now saying, D*mn him, d*mn Trump," O'Donnell shared, referring to her son as a girl. "And smashing her hand on the table."

O'Donnell recounted a conversation with her child, saying, "And I said, Wow, honey, what are you thinking? And she said, He made us move in order for our own safety! And its now hes destroying the country!'" The comedienne acknowledged that her child absorbs the political discourse around her, noting, "She lives here, she hears what Im saying to you. Not that I go around speaking like this every day if it is not an interview. But I think to myself, You dont want to give this to her."

According to Gateway Pundit, O'Donnell conducted the interview from Ireland, where she has chosen to reside in self-imposed exile. Her decision to leave the United States was driven by the prospect of enduring another Trump presidency, which she found intolerable. In March, she disclosed her decision to leverage her ancestral ties to Ireland, stating she would not return to the U.S. until it was "safe" for her and her family. "I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, thats what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child," she explained. "And here we are."

O'Donnell expressed a longing for aspects of her life in America while attempting to establish a new home in Ireland. She remarked, "I miss many things about life there at home and Im trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, thats when we will consider coming back."

In a separate development, it was reported last month that O'Donnell's daughter, Chelsea, faced legal troubles after breaching her probation terms amidst ongoing sexual assault allegations. This situation adds another layer of complexity to O'Donnell's already tumultuous personal life, as she navigates her new reality abroad.
