In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves across Dallas County, a 37-year-old illegal immigrant from Cuba, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, is currently detained in jail following his alleged decapitation of a man at a local motel.
The gruesome act was caught on video, showing Cobos-Martinez carrying what seems to be a severed, blood-soaked head across the motel parking lot before discarding it in a dumpster. Cobos-Martinez, who has a record of violent criminal offenses, was released into Texas by the Biden administration on January 13, just a week before Donald Trump's inauguration, according to ICE.
As reported by Breitbart, an ICE spokesperson expressed their dismay over the incident, stating, This is a horrible and senseless act of violence that could have been prevented had this dangerous alien not been allowed to stay in the U.S.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) spokesperson further elaborated on the incident. On September 10, ICE ERO officers assisted the Dallas Police Department in interrogating Cobos-Martinez, who allegedly committed the heinous act of beheading a man in front of the victim's spouse and child.
The suspect reportedly kicked the severed head around as if it were a soccer ball, leading ERO Dallas to promptly lodge an immigration detainer on him.
Cobos-Martinez's criminal history is extensive, with arrests and convictions for grand theft auto, false imprisonment, carjacking, and indecency with a child through sexual contact. He was most recently held in ERO Dallas custody at the Bluebonnet Detention Center until his release on an order of supervision on January 13, 2025, due to the absence of removal flights to Cuba under the Biden administration.
The Dallas police investigators have reported that the incident occurred following a heated argument between Cobos-Martinez and 50-year-old Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah, an Indian national, at the Downtown Suites motel on September 10. The dispute reportedly escalated when Nagamallaiah instructed a coworker to translate instead of speaking directly to Cobos-Martinez. This allegedly provoked Cobos-Martinez to pull out a machete and attack Nagamallaiah, as per the arrest affidavit published by Fox 4 Dallas.
Despite attempts by Nagamallaiah's wife and son to intervene, Cobos-Martinez continued his assault until he severed Nagamallaiah's head. He then kicked the severed head twice before carrying it to a dumpster.
Dallas Fire and Rescue crew followed Cobos-Martinez, and police officers subsequently apprehended him. A graphic video circulating on social media shows the severed head rolling across the parking lot, leaving a trail of blood.
The video also shows Cobos-Martinez calmly walking away after disposing of the head in a dumpster, as bystanders point him out to arriving paramedics. Cobos-Martinez was then taken into custody by the police, his white t-shirt drenched in his victim's blood.
This horrifying incident raises serious questions about the immigration policies and practices of the Biden administration. It underscores the potential dangers of releasing individuals with violent criminal histories into society, particularly when their immigration status remains unresolved.
The tragic loss of Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah is a stark reminder of the urgent need for a more stringent and effective approach to immigration enforcement.
