Putins Shocking Invite To Zelenskyy For Moscow Talks While Ukraine Burns!

In a recent, devastating turn of events, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported that a Russian air strike on a village in eastern Ukraine resulted in the death of 20 civilians.

The attack, which Zelenskyy described as "frankly brutal," targeted the village of Yarova in the Donetsk region on September 9. The Ukrainian leader has called upon the international community to respond with an "appropriate reaction."

The strike, according to Zelenskyy, was aimed "directly at people, ordinary citizens." It occurred just hours after Moscow claimed that Ukrainian forces had launched drone and missile attacks on two cities in Russia-occupied parts of the Donetsk region, resulting in two fatalities.

"A brutally savage Russian airstrike with an aerial bomb on the rural settlement of Yarova in the Donetsk region," Zelenskyy stated. "Directly on people. Ordinary civilians. At the very moment when pensions were being disbursed. According to preliminary information, more than 20 people were killed. There are no words

As reported by American Military News, Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and called for an "appropriate response from the world." He criticized Russia's continued destruction of lives while avoiding new strong sanctions and called for a response from the United States, Europe, and the G20. "Strong actions are needed to make Russia stop bringing death," he urged.

Zelenskyy's plea for action coincides with a meeting of the Ukraine Contact Group in London. This alliance, consisting of over 50 countries including all NATO member states and several non-NATO partners, is expected to discuss the ongoing conflict.

Meanwhile, Denis Pushilin, a top Russian-installed figure in the occupied region, reported that Ukrainian attacks resulted in two deaths and 16 injuries.

Despite the ongoing conflict, Russian forces continue to control about 75 percent of the Donetsk region and are pushing to capture the rest of the area. Andriy Yermak, a top Zelenskyy adviser, has been in communication with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about the Russian strikes against Ukrainian cities and residential buildings. He also participated in a video call with the national-security advisers of Britain, Germany, Italy, and France to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.

Yermak emphasized the need to strengthen Ukraine's position in confronting Russian aggression, particularly after a government building was struck and set on fire over the weekend as part of Russia's largest air strike against Ukraine. This marked the first time since the start of its full-scale invasion in February 2022 that Russian forces struck a Ukrainian government building in Kyiv.

"[Russian President Vladimir] Putin understands only force, does not want to stop the war. It is necessary to continue pressure on the Russian Federation," Yermak stated on Telegram. He also discussed the need for more support for Ukraine, including air defense and additional sanctions against Russia, with the European advisers.

US President Donald Trump has indicated readiness to move to a second phase of sanctions against Russia, without providing further details. The EUs top sanctions official was in Washington on September 8 with a team of experts to discuss the first measures coordinated by the European Union and the United States against Russia since Trump returned to office.

Senator Thom Tillis (Republican-North Carolina) has also voiced his support for Ukraine, stating that the United States needs to "up the pressure" on Putin. He believes that Ukraine deserves "fulsome support" from the United States and the rest of the Western world. Tillis criticized Putin's recent red carpet greeting in Alaska and China at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), followed by his return to Russia to order the largest air assault since the beginning of the war.

"He is a liar. He is a murderer. He is responsible for the abduction and relocation of thousands of children. Rape, murder, and torture of Ukrainian women and men. It is time to stop and America needs to lead on this issue," Tillis stated.

He added that Trump has done a number of things to demonstrate that he was being patient, but now is the time to actually put Putin in a position where he is going to fail.

The escalating conflict in Ukraine continues to demand the attention of the international community. As the death toll rises and the destruction continues, the call for decisive action grows louder. The world watches and waits, hoping for a resolution that will bring peace to the region and justice to those responsible for the violence.
