Newsom Deploys Crime Suppression Squads In CaliforniaAfter Slamming Trump!

California Governor Gavin Newsom has unveiled his initiative to deploy "crime suppression" teams across the state.

This announcement follows President Donald Trump's proposal to extend his Washington, D.C., crime crackdown to other major cities. The President recently signed an executive order mandating the Pentagon to prepare National Guard troops for enforcing federal law, with potential deployments in cities such as Chicago, Baltimore, New York City, and San Francisco.

According to Breitbart, Newsom swiftly responded to the President's directive by holding a press conference where he criticized the administration for "undermining" cities led by Democrats. He introduced his own strategy for addressing crime, stating, While the Trump Administration undermines cities, California is partnering with them and delivering real results.

Newsom emphasized that the new deployments are intended to enhance existing partnerships and further reduce crime rates.

The crime suppression teams will consist of officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local law enforcement agencies, covering areas including San Diego, the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, the Central Valley, Sacramento, and the San Francisco Bay Area, as reported by Cal Matters.

CHP Commissioner Sean Duryee highlighted the collaborative nature of the initiative, noting, These crime suppression teams will provide critical support to our local partners by focusing on crime where it happens most.

He stressed the importance of pooling resources, intelligence, and personnel to effectively combat criminal activities and bolster community safety.

Despite these efforts, California continues to pursue legal action against the Trump administration over the President's decision to deploy National Guard troops in response to the violent anti-deportation riots in Los Angeles earlier this year.

This ongoing lawsuit underscores the tension between state and federal approaches to law enforcement and public safety.
