Obama Claims Trump Is Secretly Assembling A Private Army

In an unexpected turn of events, the Democratic Party, once a beacon of strategic leadership, appears to be floundering.

The lack of direction is palpable, starting from the highest echelons of the party hierarchy down to the grassroots level. The latest manifestation of this disarray is the startling claim by former President Barack Obama that President Trump is amassing a private paramilitary force.

According to RedState, Obama recently reposted a transcript of a New York Times podcast episode from "The Ezra Klein Show" on his social media platform. In his post, Obama expressed his support for the views presented in the podcast, stating:

"This interview, which is also available to listen to as a podcast, provides a useful overview of some of the dangerous trends weve been seeing in recent months regarding federalization and militarization of state and local police functions. The erosion of basic principles like due process and the expanding use of our military on domestic soil puts the liberties of all Americans at risk, and should concern democrats and republicans alike."

The podcast episode in question insinuates that President Trump's efforts to bolster border security and maintain law and order are a prelude to a military coup.

I see the evisceration of due process. I see detention centers being built where it is extraordinarily hard for lawyers and families to reach the people inside. I see men in masks refusing to identify themselves and pulling people into vans. I see armed U.S. troops in camo, some on horseback, riding through MacArthur Park in Los Angeles like theyre an occupying army. I see Trump sending in armed forces to take over the American capital.

This narrative is a clear example of the left's penchant for hyperbole. It is ironic that the same party that sanctioned legal action against President Trump, including a raid on his home, is now expressing outrage over his efforts to restore safety in Washington, D.C. The left's selective outrage is baffling.

They seem to have no qualms about repeat offenders with numerous felony counts but take umbrage at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents safeguarding their families. I see Trump sending in armed forces to take over the American capital. This statement is particularly perplexing.

Interestingly, one person who seems to appreciate the so-called "takeover" is Democrat D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. In a recent press conference, she indirectly expressed gratitude to President Trump for improving the city's safety, stating:

"The difference between this 20-day period of this federal surge and last year represents a 87% reduction in carjackings. Neighborhoods feel safer and are safer."

The question that arises is why former President Obama would endorse such a baseless theory. Is he suggesting that President Trump is orchestrating a military takeover? This notion is preposterous.

The reality is evident to all who choose to see it. The border is more secure than ever, crime rates in D.C. have plummeted, and the economy is experiencing a significant upturn. Businesses are investing billions of dollars back into the U.S.

The undeniable success of the current administration seems to be driving the left to the brink of irrationality. The facts speak for themselves, and the American people are reaping the benefits of a secure, prosperous nation.
