Cracker Barrel, a staple of American dining since 1977, finds itself embroiled in controversy following a rebranding effort that altered its longstanding logo.
Conservative activist Robby Starbuck has brought to light further contentious aspects of the company, revealing its collaboration with the far-left Human Rights Campaign (HRC), financial support for "all ages" pride events, and significant initiatives in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
As reported by The Post Millennial, the uproar traces back to comments made by Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masino, who admitted during an investor call last year, Were just not as relevant as we once were."
This acknowledgment of waning relevance has been compounded by revelations of the company's involvement with progressive causes, which have sparked disapproval among conservative circles.
Starbuck took to X to express his concerns, stating, "Cracker Barrel has funded 'all ages' Pride events for many years like Nashville Pride and Third River City Pride." He further criticized the company's decade-long sponsorship of HRC events, noting, "Cracker Barrel worked with the far left HRC organization and reportedly sponsored HRC events for 10 years."
They even brought an HRC representative to their Tennessee HQ to do a pronoun and transgenderism training. Weve included photos of this in the video. As a reminder, the HRC supports child sex changes and men in womens bathrooms. They work to normalize/legalize both things and they work to force transgenderism in the workplace."
The company's DEI efforts extend to partnerships with Conexin Amricas, an organization that assists illegal immigrants with legal services. The director of this group has been a vocal critic of President Trump's administration.
Cracker Barrel has also launched a "diverse" supplier program aimed at broadening the diversity of its supply chain, alongside Employee Resource Groups focused on race and LGBTQ identities.
Despite the backlash, CEO Masino maintains that the feedback on the rebranding has been "overwhelmingly positive." However, Starbucks urges customers to voice their discontent, as he has done with other companies he perceives as adopting left-wing and "woke" policies.
"If you think their values dont align with yours and youre a customer who wants to speak out, you can write to them here," he encouraged, providing a link to the company's support page.
